Hidden Texts 
in the Jufu Chang

"Hidden Texts in Jufu Chang" is a poster design project that embodies my exploration of Shanghai's Jufu Chang neighbourhood. By focusing on the evolving handwritten fonts on old and new signboards, I sought to capture the aesthetic and social transformations of this historic area amidst urban renewal. Countless old characters and signboards, rich with a sense of age, were unearthed and became the core of the project.

By collaging these symbols in the posters, I aimed to reflect on the relationship between the neighbourhood and its residents, inspiring viewers to re-examine the life surrounding their own communities.
